Added:Sep 03, 2019 5:58 pm Request to procure Oracle (Sun) Premier Support Annual Maintenance for hardware and operating system for a contract base year of 12 months. Option years were preferred, however Oracle has changed their policy on option years, requiring them to be funded up front. We will not pursue option years on this contract. The support contract will cover premier support for Oracle servers and tape libraries. The Solaris 10 operating system, which runs on the Oracle servers also requires ‘Extended Solaris 10’ support to ensure NITC has access to all security patches for this operating system. Each physical server will require this level of support in addition to the premier support covering the server hardware components.The contractor is responsible for placing the Oracle (Sun) Support for Systems order with Oracle.All items shown in the equipment list will require Oracle premier support. In addition, the 5 physical servers also require ‘extended support for Solaris
