GOODS & SERVICES RELATED TO TURBINE & GENERATORS Project Description :QUALIFICATION PROCESS:Manitoba Hydro is inviting any interested suppliers to apply for inclusion on this prequalification framework, in respect to turbines and generators, under the following categories and will remain open on Merx until the final expiry of the agreement (December 31, 2031): (a) Category 1 - Engineering Services – Turbines (b) Category 2 - Engineering Services – Generators (c) Category 3 - Manufacture, Supply and Deliver with or without design – Turbines (d) Category 4 - Manufacture, Supply and Deliver with or without design – Generators (e) Category 5 - Construction - Turbine (f) Category 6 - Construction - Generators PURPOSE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFIED SUPPLIERS:A Request for Qualified Suppliers (RFQS) is a method of supply used by Manitoba Hydro to procure goods and services as and when needed. This RFQS establishes a two-stage procurement process. The first stage is the identification of Qualified
Suppliers for specified categories of goods and/or services and the award of a Framework Agreement to each. A Framework Agreement is not a contract for the provision of goods and/or services. It sets out the process by which the contract will be created and the contract terms and conditions that will apply. The second stage of the procurement occurs as and when Manitoba Hydro requires goods and/or services. Manitoba Hydro will issue a request to Qualified Suppliers and those interested may submit a proposal. After evaluating proposals, Manitoba Hydro may issue a Service Release Order (SRO) which is a contract for the provision of goods and/or services. Manitoba Hydro may revise the Service Categories and/or the specific goods and services based on operational requirements. Existing Qualified Suppliers will not be required to requalify but may apply for qualification in any additional or new Service Categories. EVALUATION - INTERESTED SUPPLIERS:To be evaluated, interested suppliers can email the contact below to request a copy of the information package. Upon completion of the information package, these can be submitted to directly to the contact below via email. Completed submissions are not to be submitted through MERX. Submissions preferably should be in .pdf electronic format, word searchable, with appropriate bookmarks and organization to allow for easy navigation. Interested suppliers can expect up to 4-6 weeks for Manitoba Hydro to evaluate their submission. Upon conclusion of the evaluation, only successful Qualified Suppliers will be awarded a Framework Agreement. Contact: Greg Melnichuk, SCMP Email: gmelnichuk@hydro.mb.ca
