Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Number W31P4Q-18-Q-0107 is to be a Sole-Source procurement to DMG Mori USA, Inc. of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1 for soliciting from a single source in that the circumstances of the contract action make only one source reasonably available. center's (VMC's) work table shall have a minimum of 50 inches of usable length in the "X" dimension, a minimum of 20 inches in the "Y" dimension• The VMC shall have a minimum of 41 inches of travel in the X dimension, 20 inches in the Y dimension, and 18 in the Z dimension• The VMC shall have a spindle rated at 12,000 RPM for 30 minutes or better (higher RPM and/or duration).• The VMC shall be compatible with CAT40 pattern tool holders and shall include Qty 40 pull studs compatible with the VMC.• The VMC shall have a tool changing system with a minimum of 20 available slots.• To minimize wear from composite machining, the VMC motion kinematics shall have only the "X" axis motion at the table and "Y" and "Z" motion in the head.• The System shall include a coolant system and requisite hardware, filters, oil skimmer, etc.• System shall include an in-machine measuring system, i.e., Renishaw spindle and table probes.• System shall include a table mounted fourth axis (rotary table) with appropriate system integration.
