Two National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Traceable Calibration Test

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Natick Contracting Division on behalf of the U.S. Army Natick Soldier RD&E Center (NSRDEC) intends to award a firm fixed price contract under FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) to only one responsible source, RdF Corporation, for two NIST traceable calibration test calorimeters with RdF proprietary Schmidt Boelter or equivalent thin film sensor in a reduced size copper slug body. The RdF Schmidt-Boelter type Calorimeter is the only commercially available calorimeter that meets the required response time (16 ms nominal). No other sensors were found that satisfy the required response time. A sensor that is slower to respond would result in lost data and a reduction in measurement fidelity if the incident versus absorbed energy mixed mode heat transfer occurs before the slower response time of other available sensors.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516.The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is AB22.THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.
