New Motor Vessel Radar System

Added:Jul 15, 2019 11:38 am PURPOSEThe United States Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, Illinois Waterway Project requires replacement installation and removal of the existing Furuno radar systems that are past their lifecycle with new and not used Furuno components or equivalent in support of the Motor Vessel (MV) Ottawa, Lockport, Illinois.DELIVERABLESAll tools, equipment, transportation, shipping, personnel, auxiliary and/or other secondary components not listed but required to install an optimized system with no other cost to USACE such as but not limited to the Installation, Testing, Certifying, and 2-hours of Operations and Maintenance Training for up to 3-endusers upon completion of system installation per manufacturers' best practices in installation and operation procedures.Manufacture approved dealer and service provider to include Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensed techniciansInstallation, Operation, and Maintenance Manuals and Warranty

InformationEach radar is to be installed as a standalone system or no other systems require connectivity to the new systems at time of install except as required for system operation such as electrical systems.Remove existing (2) FR-2125V radar systems with not-to-damage caution and place in a safe area on vessel as determined by SPOC. The Government will keep the old radar systems and components and the areas of work shall be kept clean as if all Contractor work had not taken place. Additionally, disconnect all old wires from power sources, devices, and remove old wires to the extent of nondestructive methods, which could create damage to vessel and/or other systems and components aboard the vessel or cutback of wires to eliminate clutter up to inaccessible areas that would require destruction of vessel or other components.MAJOR SYSTEM COMPONENTS:1) FAR1528 (25 KW Radar CAT2/3 110VAC) - (2) Each2) XN24AF/8 (8' Open Array Antenna) - (2) Each3) 001-423-450-00 (15 Meter Antenna Cable) - (2) Each4) 001-133-980-10 (10 Meter DVI-D/D 03S9658 Cable Assembly) - (2) Each5) RCU030 (Trackball Remote for FAR100 Radar) - (2) Each6) MU190 (19" Color LCD Marine Monitor) - (2) Each7) FAR-190-BKT - (LCD Monitor Bracket) - (2) Each8) Miscellaneous hardware/software/cables/fasteners/anchors that provide optimal operation and systems performance per manufactures recommendations and applicable laws and regulationsTIMELINE: Completed no-later-than 3-weeks ARO (after receipt of order)NOTES: Offers who propose minor variations to the specifications or equivalent shall note the variations or equivalency for consideration purposes and shall include, as applicable, drawings, photos, illustrations and/or design and industry specifications that provide a representative sample, explanation, and/or functional performance indicators that the proposed deliverables meet or exceed the solicited deliverables requirements. If not noted and adequately represented by the Contractor in their proposal, the Contractor represents their proposal exactly matches the stated deliverables; therefore, there is no need for internal review by the Government for equivalency verification, which is required to ensure that in fact the deliverables represented by the Contractor meet the SOW. "Award will be made to the responsible contractor whose quote will be the most advantageous to the Government considering only price."For instance, the equivalent must meet or exceed: Physical such as dimensions and materials used to produce a product which may limit or increase performance characteristics such as service life, warranty coverage, availability of system updates, and functionality; Functional such as equal or greater effective and efficient use, reliability, readability, availability, industry and regulatory design, testing, materials, operating ranges, and life cycle compliance standards, ease of use by others in industry (reduced training needs), capabilities, and scalabilities.
