Track Changes The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has issued a Request for Quotation for tree harvesting and transportation services.
The predominant purpose of this project is to acquire Emerald Ash Borer beetles (EAB) from infested trees in order to maintain EAB biological control production for the USDA APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) program. Work involves the removal of 88 infested trees marked and located in Kettle Moraine State Forest, Mauthe Lake Recreation Area in Fond du Lac County, WI; bucking the whole trees into sections of approximately 20 inches; transporting the material to Government facilities in Howell, MI and Brighton, MI; and offloading the material into coolers located at each facility. All work must be completed within approximately 2 weeks following the contract award date.
This procurement is UNRESTRICTED. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed-price contract. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
