CITY OF WAUWATOSA PURCHASING DEPARTMENT REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS RELOCATION OF EXISTING CITY FIBER – W. North Ave between Mayfair Rd and Met-To-Wee Lane OFFICIAL NOTICE PROPOSALS REQUESTED: Formal proposals will be received, per the instructions below, until 9:00 AM. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Proposals received in response to this request will be forwarded to the Wauwatosa City Engineer/Construction Manager for evaluation and consideration. NOTE: This is not a pubic bid opening. The City of Wauwatosa is seeking sealed proposals from qualified fiber installation and splicing contractors to complete an active fiber relocation on North Avenue in preparation for un upcoming WisDOT bid project. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials and equipment to furnish and install 288 count fiber in existing duct. The existing duct will be installed by others with an anticipated installation time frame of mid February, 2023, all in accordance with the City of Wauwatosa Request

for Proposal dated January 26, 2023 and this Official Notice. Proposal documents will be available via email only from the City of Wauwatosa. PROPOSAL TIME SCHEDULE: Listed below are estimated dates and times of actions related to this RFP: RFP Issued: Thursday, January 26, 2023 Questions on RFP Due: Tuesday, January 31, 2023 by 12:00 PM Answers to Questions to RFP Holders: Wednesday, February 1, 2023 by 12:00 PM Proposals Due: Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 9:00 AM. No proposal shall be withdrawn after the opening of proposals for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing of proposals. Notification of Award: It is the intent to award to the overall lowest bidder. The City of Wauwatosa reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received, or, at its option, may select the proposal deemed to be the most responsive in the best interest of the City and to waive any, or all, technicalities or informalities in submitted proposals. No proposals, alterations, or modifications to proposals shall be allowed after the official date of submission. Proposer certifies that their proposal has been made without connection to any other vendor and is, in all respects, fair and without collusion or fraud, and is made with the understanding that no elected official or Wauwatosa City employee has an interest, directly or indirectly, unless otherwise stated. The City of Wauwatosa reserves, exclusively to itself, the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the City and to waive any, or all, technicalities or informalities in submitted proposals. PATENTED DEVICES, EQUIPMENT AND PROCESSES: It is understood and agreed that without exception, bid prices include all royalties and costs arising from patents, trademarks, and copyrights. The successful bidder shall, in all cases, indemnify and save harmless the City of Wauwatosa from any and all claims for infringement by reason of the use of any such patented design, device, material, or process to be used or delivered, and shall indemnify the said City of Wauwatosa for any cost, expense, and damage which it may be obliged to pay by reason of such infringement, at any time during or after delivery.
