----------UPDATE 31 OCT 2019 ---------Special Operations Forces Aviation Systems Trainers - Enhancements II (SOFAST-E II)Final Request for Proposal U.S. Army Contracting Command-Orlando (ACC-ORL) on behalf of the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), issues the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the award of a Single Source Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with a 5 year ordering period and an optional additional 3 year ordering period for the Special Operations Forces Aviation Systems Trainers - Enhancements II (SOFAST-E II) effort. The cumulative total of all delivery orders awarded as a result of Solicitation W900KK-20-R-0013 will not exceed $218,000,000 over the life of the resultant contract. This is a competitive Small Business Set Aside.The SOFAST-E II contract vehicle will establish the SOFAST-E II technical, planning, and managerial efforts required in support of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment
(Airborne) [SOAR (A)] at Ft. Campbell, KY. In support of 160th SOAR (A), the contractor will be required to design, build, test, modify, and field capabilities in support of the Combat Mission Simulators (CMSs) and Combat Flight Training Device (CFTD). The support includes all peripheral equipment and capabilities that support live, virtual, and constructive training including the Mission Rehearsal Exercise Training System (MRETS), Mission Rehearsal Operations Center (MROC), Storage Area Network (SAN), Desk Top Trainers (DTT), and associated systems.The 160th SOAR (A) flight simulation and mission rehearsal facilities presently use a mix of simulators, simulation applications, and mission rehearsal systems that exist at various stages of concurrency and compatibility with Regimental operational capabilities and configurations. The Army Special Operations Aviation (ARSOA) flight training systems, flight simulation, and mission rehearsal master plan requires that these simulators, simulations, and mission rehearsal systems be capable of supporting current mission profiles and stay current with operational systems enhancements and upgrades.This is the Final RFP and the question and comment deadlines are depicted in Section L.4.10 of the solicitation.
