Shenandoah Raw Water Line Project ITB (Invitation to Bid)

The Shenandoah Raw Water Line Project ECL to Port Republic Road (City Project Number 256.2B) project consists of constructing approximately 15,500 LF of 24-inch ductile iron raw waterline and approximately 400 feet of 16-inch C905 PVC sanitary sewer force main. The project is located east of Harrisonburg, beginning near Ramblewood Road Water Tank, paralleling an overhead Dominion Energy electric transmission line through predominately agricultural land and then terminating near Port Republic Road.

The Owner will furnish certain pipe and valve materials of construction for installation by Contractor as described in Appendix A of the Project Manual. The Owner has completed certain site preparation activities as described in the contract documents. The scope of work is fully defined in this ITB manual, technical specifications and construction drawings issued jointly by the City of Harrisonburg and the City’s Engineer, Wiley|Wilson.

Specific attention will be required

to meet stakeholder requirements as it pertains to the Harrisonburg Department of Public Utilities (HPU), thirteen (13) private land owners, Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), Dominion Energy, Rockingham County Erosion & Sediment Control, Rockingham County Fire Office for blasting permitting and the Army Corps of Engineers.
