Building Management Control System Services Notice is hereby given by the Workers’ Compensation Board – Alberta (WCB) of its intent to enter into a sole source agreement with Serv-All Mechanical Services Ltd (Serv-All) to upgrade the existing Building Management Control System (BMCS). The equipment used for the BMCS is primarily provided by Reliable Controls (RC).
The BMCS upgrade work includes but is not limited to the following:
Upgrade RC controllers in the Jarvis and Central buildings; and
• Supply and install RC software and graphic capabilities in various locations at the WCB.
Serv-All is currently under contract providing ongoing maintenance services on the existing BMCS and going forward they will also be providing maintenance on the upgraded system. The WCB considers it logical that this upgrade work can be done by Serv-All to ensure continued continuity of service.
Contractors who wish to object to this decision should contact Brad Baird by email at brad.baird@wcb.ab.ca or by facsimile at 780-498-7865 on or before 2:00:00 P.M., Alberta Time, May 9, 2019 presenting specific reasons for their objection. If justified, the WCB will convene a meeting with its representatives and the Contractor to receive representations concerning this agreement.
The Contractor’s qualifications and ability to provide the same product/service, level of service expertise, and no financial risk will be key criteria with regard to the consideration of objections.
