The Department maintains and manages the Government’s Geographic Information Systems, which operates in an ESRI ArcGIS environment. Digital imagery forms a key layer within the system. A new data set to support the land management activity, land surveying activities, road design and construction and property management is now required due to the continuing development

of the Cayman Islands. This data will be used in the Department’s Land Information System. The work is to be carried out according to accepted international standards and guidelines for aerial imagery and Mapping. One contract will be awarded to cover all aspects of this work. The scope of the proposed contract is to include: The acquisition of vertical ortho-rectified digital imagery and mapping of all three (3) islands. Updated topographic mapping. The contract is scheduled to start at the beginning of January 2023 and is to be completed by the end of August 2023, or as per the eventual signed contract.
