Scope Scope of Work The project scope of work includes: Base Bid Work: Construct a detention pond and berm along La Volla Creek. The proposed new detention pond includes inlets and outlets off Airport Tributary #1 and La Volla Creek and also, erosion and water quality improvements. Pond inlet structure #1 consists of a single low-flow RCB culvert connection to Airport Tributary #1. The structure is designed to divert flow into the detention pond. During wet/high flow conditions a portion of the flow is diverted into the pond through the culvert and some flow continues downstream in the Airport Tributary #1. Pond inlet structure #2 consists of eight (8) RCB culverts with a weir elevation of 22.50 located along the south bank of the pond adjacent to La Volla Creek. When flow in La Volla Creek reaches the weir elevation flow enters the pond through Pond inlet structures #2. Pond Outfall Structure consists of a single RCB culvert located in the southeast corner of the pond and discharges
into the Airport Tributary #1, downstream of the pond. The culvert serves a dual purpose. It drains the low weather flow from the reservoir during dry/low flow conditions and drains stored flow from the reservoir in wet/high flow conditions. New permanent gravel access road. Temporary gravel construction access road and temporary measures to protect an existing waterline and pipeline. Fencing, bollards, and gates to control site access. Exterior reservoir site drainage grading and drainage structures. Modification of existing abandoned gas wells. Site restoration. Turf establishment. Site amenities. Alternate Bid Work: The handling, transport and disposal of excess soil will be performed by one of the following Alternates selected by the City. Alternate 1. City retains ownership of excess soils.
