The TXANG is seeking sources to provide “Construction Services” at the 149th Fighter Wing, Civil Engineer Squadron, JBSA Lackland AFB.The TXANG Contracting office is conducting market research to determine the availability of businesses capable of providing the service.  Description of Service:Services are non-personal – The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary to perform and complete construction of a 15,200 square foot facility to support a new Formal Training Unit (FTU) 4-ship F-16 Mission Training Center (MTC) simulator capable of housing 4 simulator bays, training rooms, administrative support areas, storage, and latrine space, certified to ICD/ICS 705
standards. Construct facility utilizing conventional design and construction methods to accommodate the mission of the facility. Facilities will be designed as permanent construction in accordance with the DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 1-200-01, General Building Requirements and UFC 1-200-02, High Performance and Sustainable Building Requirements. The facility should be compatible with applicable DoD, Air Force, and base design standards. In addition, local materials and construction techniques shall be used where cost effective. This project will comply with DoD antiterrorism/force protection requirements per unified facilities criteria. Special Construction Requirements: Raised flooring as required, high bay area for simulators, and Secure Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) specifications and construction in accordance with ICD/ICS 705 is necessary for most of the facility. A portion of the proposed building site contains the existing automobile parking lot for Building 937. This parking will be demolished. As part of this project a new automobile parking lot will be constructed to the west of existing Building 937 and the new facility such that it can accommodate parking for both buildings as well as any future construction planned to occur further west. The Project is located near Building 937, 149th Fighter Wing, JBSA Lackland AFB, TX. The building is located inside a secured area with vehicle gate access. Magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.
