Revised 02-07-20 Ferry Ramp Expansion Widening Notice to Contractors Sealed bids for Dorena-Hickman Ferry Ramp Expansion-Mississippi County Port Authority FBD 19(002) will be received at: 204 S. 411th Rd, East Prairie, Missouri 63845 until 4:00 o'clock P.M. (Prevailing Local Time) on the 17th day of November, 2020 at the office of the Mississippi County Port Authority, and at that time will be publicly opened and read. All bids shall be submitted in the form of sealed bids. The proposed work includes: Construction to widen the existing Dorena-Hickman concrete Ferry Ramp, including erosion control and all necessary appurtenances as indicated on the drawings and described in the project specifications. Electronic Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, may be obtained by calling the office of Klingner and Associates, P.C. at 217-223-3670 and no deposit will be required for the bid set. All Contract Documents will be provided via email. A pre-bid conference
will be held at 10:00 AM on the 10th day of November, 2020, at 204 S 411th Rd, East Prairie, MO 63845. All bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting. All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher. The Mississippi County Port Authority hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.” All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 from the current version of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening. Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Mississippi County Port Authority, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The Mississippi County Port Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The DBE Goal for this project is 0%. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
