The Department of Veterans Affairs Syracuse VAMC intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), brand name only, sole source action against a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) to Name of Contractor: Stryker Corporation Street Address: 1901 Romence Rd City, State, Zip: Portage, MI, 49024 The objective of this action is the procurement of a Neptune 2 Docking Station (120V). This is a brand name only purchase as the Operating Suite currently uses the Stryker Neptune Waste Management System and it components. No other Brand would be compatible with our current system. To make a change to a different manufacturer would be too costly to replace all components needed. Stryker is the only manufacturer that will work and keep our Operating Suite running without any canceling of surgical cases for our patients. The Veterans Health Administration prohibits the use of gray market items in their Medical Centers. Gray market items are considered to be items outside of the original equipment manufacturer s intended distribution channels.
