Key details for this Project are as

follows:Place of the Work: the Middlesboro Bridge is located on the Coldwater River at Voght Street in Merritt, British Columbia.Design Parameters for new replacement bridge: Two-traffic lane bridge with one active transportation lane.Must meet all MOTI standards.Designed to meet a minimum flow rate of 533 m3/s on the Coldwater River.May be box girder or steel girder design.Timeline: Preference is for the new replacement bridge to be ready for public-use prior to December 31, 2024.Scope Includes: Bridge design and construction, including; demolition, removal and disposal of the existing bridge and old bridge abutment.Project Approach & Form of Contract: the Project will employ a Design-Build approach whereby a Design-Builder will be contracted using the CCDC14 Design-Build Stipulated Price Contract (as modified by Supplementary Conditions), to perform all Design Services and Work for the bridge replacement.The intent of this Request for Pre-Qualification is to pre-qualify up to three (3) organizations, for participation in the 2 nd-stage Request for Proposals (RFP) process.
