Public Safety Cameras Notice is hereby given that the City of Elkins will accept sealed bids for the implementation of a new Public Safety Camera System in Elkins, West Virginia. This project includes the furnishing, installation, management, analytics, and training for a public safety camera system that will cover all ingress/egress routes, major intersections, and other areas of interest within the City of Elkins. The system will be expected to provide advanced license plate reader and facial recognition technology. Sealed bids will be accepted by the City of Elkins on or before Friday, March 1, 2024, 11:00 a.m. Sealed bids must be delivered to the Elkins Police Department, City of Elkins, 401 Davis Ave., Elkins, West Virginia 26241, Attn: Chief Travis Bennett. Interviews of qualified bidders may be conducted prior to the awarding of a contract. The City of Elkins reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality, deemed to be in the best interest of the project. The City of Elkins will afford full opportunity for minority-owned business enterprises to respond to this invitation and will not discriminate against any interested firm or individual on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, age, disability, or national origin in the contract award. The bid should be CLEARLY marked “Public Safety Cameras Bid” At that time all sealed bids will be opened and read aloud. Interested parties are invited to attend the bid opening at the above-mentioned date and time. No bids will be accepted after the deadline. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of (90) days after the time of the bid opening without the consent of the City of Elkins. The City of Elkins reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any irregularity therein.
