This Statement of Work (SOW) is issued by the Public Buildings Service of the United States General Services Administration (GSA), Southeast Sunbelt Region, Atlanta, GA, hereinafter referred to as the “Government”, to obtain Design-Build Services of a Design Build (DB) Contractor (also referred to as Offeror or Contractor) who shall be singularly responsible to satisfy the terms of the resulting contract. This contract is for roof drainage improvements (chimney saddles), roof re-coating, roof penthouse improvements and limited interior plaster repairs at The U.S. Custom House located in Savannah, Georgia. Work shall include both design and construction stage services.The U.S. Custom House is located at 1-3 East Bay Street in Savannah, Georgia. The building has a basement, three floors above ground, and a mechanical attic. The building is a 29,403 square foot structure built in 1852, with HVAC and mechanical controls upgraded in 2003. The building is currently listed on the National Historic Registry as a registered historic landmark (#74000666). The structure is situated in the Savannah Historical downtown business district. The building has load bearing granite exterior walls resting on a reinforced concrete foundation. The roof is the original, corrugated, structural metal with an aluminum coating.
