UPDATE 21 June 2022: Number of attendees per interested party increased to 6.The MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) Canister Inspection Day is scheduled from 12-14 July 2022 at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD), Port Hueneme, CA. In contrast to the Canister Industry Day held last year, which focused on procurement strategy and a general overview of the requirements, the focus of Canister Inspection Day is to allow interested parties an extended period of time to inspect individual canisters and discuss technical questions with Government representatives. There will not be a general presentation to industry. Therefore, each interested party will only need to visit PHD on the day that their inspection is scheduled.Interested parties are required to RSVP for Canister Inspection Day by close of business on 27 June 2022 via e-mail to the Mr. David Chamberlain, Procuring Contracting Officer, at

The Government will review all requests and notify industry participants of the schedule by 30 June 2022.The RSVP shall include the following information:  Subject line: "NAVSEA MK 41 VLS Canister Inspection Day”.  Include the Point-of-Contact's name, telephone number, company, names of the attendees, and specific canister types of interest.
