DMG Mori Equipment

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, New Jersey (CCNJ) on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) – Armaments Center, located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm fixed price contract to DMG Mori USA, Inc., 2400 Huntington Blvd, Hoffman Estates, IL, for the delivery, installation and training of one (1) DMG Mori NTX-2500 and one (1) Mori MILLTAP 700, with options to purchase additional pieces of equipment.  DMG Mori USA, Inc. is a large business and is the only domestic manufacturer and supplier of DMG Mori equipment. DMG Mori USA, Inc. uses local authorized resellers to provide the DMG Mori equipment.The Authority for this procurement comes under Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, 41 United States Code (U.S.C.) Section 1901 as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.5: Brand Name. The NAICS code for this effort is 333517 and the small business sized standard is 500 employees.A Sole Source Justification was approved June 29, 2020 explaining that DMG Mori USA, Inc. is the only source capable of providing the required brand name equipment, the redacted document is attached to this notice.All questions/responses must be received NO LATER than July 29, 2020 in writing.
