Network Cabling and IDF Build-Out Services

The City of Santa Monica, (referred to hereafter as “the City”) is soliciting bids from experienced, individual professional cabling contractors to perform cabling and IDF build out services on an as-required basis. The professional cabling contractors selected as a result of this solicitation will be contracted for an initial term of 2 years, with 3 one-year options to renew, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion.BackgroundThe City of Santa Monica Information Services Department oversees the design, installation, and maintenance of network servers, several enterprise systems, Cloud solutions, Network and telecommunication systems (fiber optic networks, unified communications, and Wi-Fi) throughout the City. Cabling is an integral part to the support and growth of the City’s Network.
