Land Lease for Composting, Yard Waste and Brush Disposal

The City of Taunton, Massachusetts, through the Department of Procurement (“Owner”) is soliciting proposals to lease City-owned land at 360 East Britannia Street, Taunton, MA 02780 (Taunton Landfill). Proposal Documents will be available on line at the City of Taunton’s bid portal, which can be reach at https://www.taunton-ma.gov/bids, on or before April 10, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. You can also access this site by going to the City of Taunton web page, select BUSINESS in the upper screen, and then select BID OPPORTUNITIES. If you have difficulty accessing the bid portal please contact the Procurement Department at 774-406-5284.Sealed Proposals must be received by 11:00 A.M. on May 14, 2024 by the City of Taunton Department of Procurement, located at 15 Summer Street, within the Treasurer’s Office – 1st Floor, Taunton, MA 02780, at which time all proposals will be publicly opened. Please ensure that proposals

mailed to the City are delivered by the deadline. Proposals must be sealed and clearly marked “City of Taunton Proposal for Land Lease for Composting, Yard Waste and Brush Disposal”. Fax submissions and submissions by electronic mail will not be accepted. No offeror may withdraw his or her proposal for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the date set for the opening thereof.There must be one (1) original, four (4) copies and one (1) electronic copy of the proposal in an envelope submitted to the attention of Andrew Sukeforth, Director of Procurement, Department of Procurement, 1st Floor (Treasurer’s Office), 15 Summer Street Taunton, Massachusetts 02780. The award of the contract will be to the most advantageous proposal from a responsible and responsive offeror taking into consideration price and all other evaluation criteria set forth in this RFP. The City has determined that this transaction is subject to the Uniform Procurement Act, M.G.L. c. 30B. Therefore, the provisions of M.G.L. c. 30B are hereby incorporated by reference in this Request for Proposals (“RFP”). The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to negotiate any and all non-mandatory contract terms with the successful offeror, or to cancel this procurement at any time if it is in the City’s best interest do so.
