Invitation for Bid 2024-3 Helen Drive Retaining WallsSealed Bids for the construction of the Helen Drive Retaining Walls will be received by Dracut Town Offices, Attn: Barbara O’Connor, second floor of the Dracut Town Hall - 62 Arlington Street, Dracut, MA 01826, until 12:00 PM local time on March 29, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing approximately 280 LF of precast concrete modular gravity retaining walls including demolition of existing walls, installation of new drainage, and installation of new landscaping. The engineer’s estimate for the work is between $375,000 and $425,000. The anticipated project schedule is to start and complete construction about Spring 2024.Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Wages are subject to minimum wage rates determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards pursuant to MGL Chapter 149, §26 to 27H. The schedule of wage rates applicable to this contract is included in the Contract Documents. This project is also funded through the 2021 Federal American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”), and therefore the Contract is subject to the provisions of the Federal Davis Bacon Act. The schedule of federal wage rates applicable to this contract is included in the Contract Documents. For each trade, the higher wage rate of the Federal Davis Bacon Act and the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Act will apply for this project. Therefore, all interested bidders are encouraged to attend in order to prepare acceptable bid submissions.For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
