1) The State of California (State), Department of General Services (DGS), Office of Human Resources (OHR) coordinates the medical clearances in conjunction with the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) Pre-Employment Medical Program. The primary objective for this program is to ensure that qualified candidates and applicants receive a physical examination from an occupational medical clinic, meet the conditions of employment, receive medical clearance and are ultimately able to perform the duties of the civil service position prior to employment at DGS. To remain in compliance with CalHR¿s requirements, OHR is procuring Pre-Employment Medical Evaluation Services.
2) The Contractor shall provide pre-employment/pre-placement medical examinations and subsequent reports which will form the basis of medical suitability assessment of candidates.
3) OHR intends to award to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder per region. A bidder can bid on one region, several regions, or all regions where they can provide services. If the bidder chooses to bid on a region, they must have one or more facility(ies) located within each of the specified cities of that region, as identified on Exhibit A, Attachment 1, Service Locations.
4) The State anticipates a one (1) year term for this contract. OHR will have the sole option to extend the contract term for two (2) additional one-year terms at the contracted
