KC-46A 2-Bay Depot Maintenance Hangar

In accordance with Section 888(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2017 (FY17) (Public Law 114-328) as implemented by Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-1(c)(2), the justification and approval (J&A) addressed in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.303 is required to use brand name or equal descriptions on items in the firm-fixed price construction contract for the KC-46A 2-Bay Depot Maintenance Hangar at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, OK. This justification and approval is being prepared for brand name or equal descriptions on items in the firm-fixed price construction contract for KC-46A 2-Bay Depot Maintenance Hangar, at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. The plans and specifications indicate the standard of quality, characteristics, and performance requirements and a manufacture and model to establish the basis of design for approximately 34 items. For these brand name items, other manufacturers may not be utilized during construction.
