ADVERTISEMENT FOR MATERIALS TESTING AND INSPECTION SERVICES ADDENDUM ISSUED 4/3/24 UCLA requests a written response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to select consultants to provide materials testing and inspection services for various non-specific UCLA projects. These services are anticipated to be for various scales of projects for new or existing buildings and for locations on-campus or potentially at off-campus properties. A specific list of projects has not been determined. Each consultant selected will perform work under a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with the University, with authorizations for specific assignments from Capital Programs, Facilities Management, Housing, and Business and Administrative Services executed as necessary over the term of the agreement, which may be up to three years with an option to extend for an additional three-year term. The scope of services will vary according to the specific requirements of each assigned task, with appropriate
fees negotiated under UCLA policy at the time of each authorization. The anticipated aggregate fees range from $100,000 to $3,000,000 over the term of the PSA with an option to extend the fee limit by an additional $3,000,000 should the contract duration be extended. Selection of firms for services under this agreement does not guarantee number of tasks assigned or value of fees expended. Familiarity with a full range of project types undertaken by UCLA (including new construction, renovations, housing, classrooms, laboratories, dining facilities, and many other project types) is critical; previous experience in public university settings is preferred. The complete RFQ packet will be available at: http://www.capitalprograms.ucla.edu/Contracts/RFQProjects on Friday, March 22, 2024, responses to the RFQ are due by or before 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024. A screening committee will determine a shortlist of firms; further steps in the selection process will be at the selection committee's discretion. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Candidate Firm may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. Peter E.
