The County of Riverside Purchasing on behalf of the District Attorney’s Office (DAO) is soliciting quotations for an upgrade to its Data Center Infrastructure to be maintained by the DAO’s Technology Services Bureau (TSB) as detailed in this RFQ. This RFQ is for a data center infrastructure system upgrade at (2) sites (Riverside, CA and Indio, CA) and up to (5) years of extended Support/Maintenance, including hardware, software, installation, set-up and training of staff per the specifications below. Receipt, delivery, installation, set-up, and training to be included in the bid pricing. The DAO has a need to upgrade its current data center infrastructure. An Infrastructure upgrade in the DAO's Riverside and Indio locations is essential. The goal would be to create a cold or warm recovery site in Indio to recover mission critical systems and data from Riverside. The new system will address the following areas:  Data Storage System out of Support - The DAO uses a Dell Compellent for storage of our mission critical data. As of January 2021, Dell no longer supports expanding the capacity of the Compellent. Additionally, as of August 2023, Dell will not provide support the Compellent. The Compellent is used by the DAO to store all of its mission critical data.  Data Center Servers Out of Support - These servers are mission critical to our department .  Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery - The goal is to get mission critical systems back-up in the case of a business interruption within 24-hours. If the mission critical systems were to go down or become unreachable in Riverside, acquiring appropriate hardware to restore off site could take weeks.  Computing Resource Requirements - The current computing environment does not have enough resource capacity to meet future CMS and CaseCentral needs. Following items are needed: PRODUCT/SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS The scope of work will be to install and set-up the upgrade to the data center infrastructure (required components listed below) at (2) sites (Riverside, CA and Indio, CA):  3960 Orange Street, Riverside, CA 92501  82-995 Highway 111, Suite 101, Indio, CA 92201 Additionally, up to (5) years of extended support/maintenance and backup software for virtual and physical environments will be needed. The new system will include hardware, software, installation, set-up and training. The new system will need to have the following:  Cluster System - Servers must be in a cluster environment to facilitate server migration and replication.  Replication Capabilities - The ability to replicate mission critical data and computing to a geographically dispersed area. Mission critical servers and data will be replicated from Riverside to Indio.
