Overview: The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids to furnish all materials, labor and equipment necessary to f urnish and install 2 (two) boilers at Ashton Maintenance garage for a complete working heating system. Vendor to provide all required

labor and materials to remove existing and install new working boilers. Existing 2 (two) boilers to be removed and disposed of properly per local codes and environment requirements. Due to lack of availability of Weil McLain Ultra 310 boilers, furnish and install Weil McLain Ultra 299 Series 4 Boilers. Existing boilers to be replaced with in-kind boilers. Boilers to be field verified. Site visit recommended. Reference original building plans, Hydronic Heating System specification, and photos attached. System to be tested to confirm working ability once all work is completed and weather allows. Local garage staff to be trained on new equipment and notified of continuous maintenance requirements. Furnish manufacturer’s warranty for new boilers and components. Off-site disposal of all demolition debris is required. Contractor to provide training on operation and maintenance requirements of boiler. Contractor to provide standard manufacturer's warranty on product and 1 year warranty on installation. Contractor to be a licensed Plumber/Mechanic in Iowa. Contractor to provide submittals of products to be used for the work. Davis-Bacon wages do not apply. Estimated Start Date: August 22, 2022 Estimated Completion Date: December 9, 2022 Site Visit: A site visit is recommended.
