Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)RFP# 2223-069Closing Date:02/10/2023 02:00:00 PM ET Detail: RFP# 2223-069 Purpose of the Procurement University Health Network consists of Toronto General and Toronto Western Hospitals, the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, and The Michener Institute of Education at UHN. The scope of research and complexity of cases at University Health Network has made it a national and international source for discovery, education and patient care. It has the largest hospital-based research program in Canada, with major research in cardiology, transplantation, neurosciences, oncology, surgical innovation, infectious diseases, genomic medicine and rehabilitation medicine. University Health Network is a research hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto. www.uhn.ca Sinai Health (SH) is a hospital system which comprises two hospitals: Mount Sinai
Hospital (an acute care hospital) and Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital (a rehabilitation hospital). Although UHN & SH are separate organizations, we currently share a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), used by our respective Biomedical/Medical Engineering Departments. A CMMS is a critical part of Biomedical/Medical Engineering’s operations as it is used to track, plan, monitor, report and improve the management of medical devices. The system houses the key details of all assets and medical devices managed by the departments. The CMMS is also the primary intake portal for incoming issues which is managed by work orders (WOs). The CMMS also supports analysis, decision-making, strategic planning (e.g., capital planning) and quality improvement (e.g., key performance indicator tracking). In addition to maintaining our current functionalities, we are also looking to expand our CMMS use to include such things as: integration with other hospital information systems; mobile CMMS use by staff; and improved business intelligence capabilities.
