The PORT established the South King County Community Impact Fund (SKCCIF) to develop equity-based partnerships and provide resources and support in historically underserved near-airport communities. The PORT hopes to support communities most deeply impacted by the current economic crisis with projects in PORT-related industries, including aviation, maritime, construction trades, and green career industries. In this RFP phase, up to $2,500,000 will be available for reimbursement of projects that benefit near-airport communities. All aspects of projects must directly support PORT-related industries (aviation, maritime, construction trades, and/or green jobs/green careers) in order to be eligible for award. Proposals should thoroughly discuss how all aspects of the project create opportunities for participants to acquire the skills, experience, and education they need to secure increasingly complex and better compensated jobs and careers in PORT-related industries. The PORT invites written responses to the South King County Community Impact Fund Economic Recovery (Cycle 3) eligibility questions from interested organizations to determine if organizations will be eligible to submit a full proposal for South King County Community Impact Fund. The eligibility determination is Step 1 in a two-step procurement process for this fund. Step 2 (to follow) will be the solicitation of full proposals from organizations that the PORT has determined eligible to receive the funds as outlined
