The Request for the Information (RFI) is intended to ascertain whether the service specified below is currently available from multiple providers.  This is not a request for pricing or a commitment to purchase.


The following equipment is thought to be available from only a sole brand. This RFI will remain posted until the due date and time indicated.  Vendors should submit response electronically through BidSync.  Vendor should upload any supporting information in BidSync to assist in determining if service is comparable.


The Broward County Facilities Management Division is seeking a wireless mesh communications equipment for

alarm transmission for various other Broward County agencies that may have a need for these goods and services.


The specification is for wireless mesh alarm network services, which involves removing the hard-wired burglar & fire alarm monitoring systems and installing a central monitoring station, network management systems, remote IP link receivers, and smart subscriber units, thus creating a wireless mesh network system throughout Broward County.


If you can bid on the product or equal, respond to this Request for Information through BidSync. Broward County will be the sole determinate of what is comparable.


Prospective Vendors are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply the commodities or contractual services described.  All Vendors' responses will be evaluated by the Using Agency, which will be the sole determinate in establishing the approved equal status of the commodity or service offered by the Vendor. If it is determined in writing by the agency, after reviewing any information received from prospective Vendors, that the commodities or contractual services are available from a sole brand, a Request for Bid will be issued to the sole brand Vendors for processing and approval by the appropriate award authority.


Provide product literature for any product to assist in determining if product is comparable.
