These specifications are patterned after a Bandit Industries Intimidator 12XP chipper and have been modified in an effort to encourage suitable manufacture participation in supplying equal or similar equipment. All bid offers that meet the intent of the specifications will be given full consideration. In all cases where equipment offered does not meet the requirements as specified, the variance must be pointed out on the bid submission to permit full review and consideration. Bidder is required to furnish a copy of the manufacture specification and performance data for the specialized submitted for bid. General Design Requirements The chipper shall be a 12 inch capacity hydraulically feed-controlled drum style chipper that is trailer mounted. The unit shall be equipped with the forward, neutral and reverse function of the feed control bar. Unit shall fit on a single axle trailer that meets all D.O.T. requirements. The unit shall be powered by a gasoline engine that meets all applicable standards for emissions. Finish coat shall be of a sufficient method as to provide corrosion resistance. If it is necessary to bid alternate equipment or to take exceptions to the specifications as set forth, this must be stated in your bid. For each item, please place a Yes or No in the appropriate column to signify whether or not you are in complete compliance with the specification. Failure to follow the format or answer the specification may cause your bid to be disqualified. If you need extra space to describe your product, please feel free to attach extra sheets. The City of Thomasville Electric Department is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of one (1) new 12 drum style hand-fed chipper. Listed below are the Electric Departments required minimum specifications that must be met or exceeded in order for the submitted bid package to qualify for consideration.
