Training Materials must coincide with the standards and body of knowledge that are associated with general air brakes air supply and system service; air brakes mechanical service; parking brakes; hydraulic brake system and service; hydraulic brakes mechanical service; hydraulic brakes power assist units; anti-lock brake systems (ABS) and automatic traction control (ATC) service and repair. The College is mostly interested in purchasing a trainer that is Bendix EC-60 Premium Tractor with Bendix TABS-6 Single Channel Trailer. A new is preferred due to the braking systems having newer components that are currently being utilized within the automotive industry. The trainer must be portable and self-contained as there is limited space in the designated area. Trainers that are contained within a truck or half of a truck cannot be accommodated.
