The City of Carrollton is a home rule municipality of approximately 135,000 population utilizing the council manager form of government. The City of Carrollton is located fourteen miles Northwest of downtown Dallas off Interstate 35E, covering 37 square miles. The City employs 881 personnel in positions including police, fire, public works, library, parks, code enforcement, building inspections and a variety of administrative responsibilities with an annual budget of $243 million.
