Cummins QSL9 Marin Diesel Propulsion Engines and Marine Gear

Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to award a firm fixed price (FFP) purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for two (2) Cummins QSL9 EPA Tier 3 Marine Diesel Propulsion Engines and two (2) Marine Gear: MGX 5065 SC. This is a Brand Name Only requirement for Cummins. This justification is based on fit into the existing sace on the 41SC without requiring extensive modification to the craft. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes are being requested under Request for Quotation (RFQ) no. N0016717Q0079. The NAICS code is 333618 and the business size standard is 1,500 employees. This requirement is being solicited unrestricted.The provisions and

clauses included and/or incorporated in this solicitation document are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular. This RFQ incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-95 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) DPN 20161222. SEE ATTACHED SOLICITATION FOR CLAUSES AND PROVISIONS.The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote, conforming to the solicitation that will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The Government intends to evaluate all timely quotes received from eligible offerors on a lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) basis. The Government intends to evaluate quotations and award a contract without discussions with offerors. The Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if the Contracting Officer later determines them to be necessary.Evaluation Factors (in order of importance)1. Technical - Offerors' quotes must reflect the required brand name specifications included in the RFQ.2.
