Land Mobile Radio Systems

The US Army Contracting Command, APG, Natick Contracting Division on behalf of the US Army Garrison - Natick Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) intends to award a firm fixed price contract under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) for Land Mobile Radio Systems (LMR) to Motorola Solutions, through an authorized distributor, for both new vehicles and hand held units for patrolman. These radios are essential to maintaining the bases safety and security. Motorola is the original company that supplied the LMR system currently used on base. This purchase is for life cycle replacement of hand held radios and the purchase of new radios for new vehicles that DES will be receiving in the upcoming months. It is important to purchase the same radio system due to all police officers and guards are already familiar with the present system and there is limited time to train them on another system.
