HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTORCity of Eau Claire, WIThe City of Eau Claire, Wisconsin (pop. 69,421), a university community in West Central Wisconsin, is seeking qualified candidates for the professional position of Human Resources Director. The City of Eau Claire operates under the Council-Manager form of government, with the Human Resources Director being a part of the leadership team. Under general administration direction of the City Manager, the Human Resources Director develops and implements personnel and human resources policies to complement the City's total operational procedure. The Human Resources Department is comprised of six full-time employees.The successful candidate will be analytically creative, a strong collaborator with problem solving skills, and have a proven ability to provide information for management planning and decision making. A strong work ethic, integrity, and leadership skills are essential. The Director ensures the overall coordination of municipal
personnel and labor relations. The position is responsible for a broad range of human resources functions including managing and recruiting personnel, policy and procedure development, compensation and benefits administration, employee bargaining and relations, education and training, and strategic planning.Candidates for this position must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field. Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in Human Resources or a related field, and professional designation as a PHR, SPHR or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have progressively responsible work experience in human resources management, including knowledge of modern human resources management standards and procedures, labor contract administration, and wage and salary administration; including three years of senior level municipal management and supervisory experience.Salary range: $112,665.70 to $131,229.49 annually, plus excellent fringe benefits.Application deadline: Open until filled, with the first review of applications on July 18th,2022.
