Hoffman Construction Company of Washington (hereinafter referred to as the GC/CM) will select the Mechanical Subcontractor utilizing an alternative procurement method in accordance with the provisions of RCW 39.10.385. The reasons for utilizing this alternative procurement process include, but are not limited to, the following:
A. Provide preconstruction consulting services including cost estimating, scheduling, phasing logistics, collaboration with the design consultants and assistance in the most cost-effective selection of materials and building systems related to the Mechanical scope of work.
B. Assist GC/CM and POS in the identification of all current mechanical systems within the current project scope.
C. Develop construction and phasing plans to minimize impacts to SeaTac International Airport and airline operations.
D. Provide BIM services to coordinate complex Mechanical and Electrical systems with the structure and other building systems, including new and existing conditions.
E. Assist the project team with constructability reviews and document cross-discipline coordination.
F. Identification and early procurement of long lead and specialty equipment.
G. Provide high quality construction service collaboration with the GC/CM and completing the Post IAF Airline Realignment Project on time and within the contract
price.
