As part of the revitalization project, the Smithsonian has determined the restaurant building located on the east end of NASM has exceeded its functional usefulness and has retained an architect of record, Ann Beha Architects, to design a replacement structure (the “Restaurant Structure”). The Smithsonian is seeking proposals for food and beverage service concept, consultation, design concept for interior fit-out, management and operation of two restaurant spaces within the Restaurant Structure, as well as the operation of a
third restaurant within NASM, an outside café, and one or more mobile food carts.If your company is interested in working with the Smithsonian on this project, please review the attached RFP documents and submit your qualifications in accordance with the attached instructions and conditions.  This is not a solicitation for a federal contract and is therefore not governed by federal procurement procedures.SITE TOUR:  Offerors are invited (on a voluntary basis) to participate in an on-site “guided” tour of the Restaurants’ space at NASM on March 16, 2020 or March 17, 2020. The tour will last approximately one hour (9:00 - 10:30 am). Interested firms must submit notification of intent to attend. The notification must be submitted via email by 2:00 P.M. on March 10, 2020 to the attention of Susan Engelhardt at engelhardts@si.edu. Tours are limited to three (3) attendees per company. Tours will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis.DUE DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALSTo be considered, you must submit two (2) originals and two (2) thumb drives of your proposal as detailed in the attached RFP via hand delivery or overnight courier to the address below by no later than 2:00 P.M.
