Collins, CO and Kekaha, HI.Gaithersburg is NIST headquarters and primary location. It consists of approximately 64 structures, 3.7 million gross square feet, and 579 acres. Facilities include laboratories, R&D facilities, administrative, and service/support facilities.  with about 55% of the permanent buildings constructed nearly 60 years ago.
