Intent to Sole Source

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for two (2) permanentmotion measurement system-2nd generation unit. The NAICS code is 336999 and the Product/Service Codeis 6650.The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to American Systems. The proposedaction is for permanent motion measurement systems for which the Government intends to solicit andnegotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is forthe following reason: The permanent motion measurement system-2nd generation units are solely providedby American Systems. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to AmericanSystems using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement nolater than June 19, 2020. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, allresponses received by June 19, 2020 at 10:00 AM EST will be considered by the Government. Any questionsmust be received via e-mail by June 18, 2020 at 10:00 AM EST. A determination by the Government not tocompete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion ofthe Government.
