Village Manager Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin The Village of Ashwaubenon is currently accepting applications for the position of Village Manager.  The Village Manager is the chief operating officer that carries out the direction of the Village President and Village Board while directing the day to day operations of the Village. Community Overview Ashwaubenon is a vibrant suburb of Green Bay surrounding historic Lambeau Field.  While just 17,000 residents call it home, this regional hub to shop, work, and play grows to 35,000 or more during the day.  While it is a football town at heart and the Green Bay Packers are an active member of the community, a large regional shopping district, the Resch Center (concert venue), a competitive collegiate baseball and soccer stadium, and new expanded expo center opening in 2021 provide loads of entertainment to both locals and tourists year around.  Position Overview The Village Manager acts as the chief administrative officer of the Village by
implementing the policy decisions and direction of the Village Board while working under the general guidance and direction of the Village President. The Village Manager performs a variety of high-level administrative, supervisory, and professional functions on a day to day operational basis in the planning, coordinating, and managing of the Village. The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to the delivery of efficient and cost-effective government services in a progressive and creative manner.  Well qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate past successes in building and maintaining effective relationships, both internally and externally, and the ability to inspire execution and change.  The candidate understands the value of community partnerships and leads by example to maintain a positive team culture by exhibiting an approachable demeanor and appreciation for diversity and inclusion.   The selected candidate will have substantial experience in budgeting, tax increment financing, strategic planning and goal achievement as they will be responsible for the creation, prioritization, and evaluation of the Village’s strategies and outcomes.   The selected candidate will also assist in various economic development and community development/planning capacities while having general knowledge of human resources practices. The salary range for the Village Manager is approximately $115,000 – $125,000 depending upon qualifications. The Village of Ashwaubenon offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and deferred compensation plan.  The Village is also a participant in the Wisconsin Retirement System which includes employer contributions. Residency Requirement Residency within 15 miles of the Village boundaries is required.  Minimum Requirements The position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or closely related field from an accredited college or university (master’s degree preferred) in addition to four (4) years of progressively responsible experience within local government. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license and be bondable.
