Work to be carried out in this contract includes but is not limited to the following: • Stockpile relocation, excavation, hauling and stockpiling suitable construction material and unsuitable overburden material; • Temporary groundwater control; • Excavation and relocation of previously placed waste; • Excavation to base grades, construction of engineered liner test pads, engineered liner construction, base liner connection to cells SE-2 and SE-4A; • Installation of sidewall seep drain system and pump station; • Installation of leachate collection system and temporary leachate pumping station and forcemain; • Access road construction, ditch and culvert

work, supply and installation of security and litter fence, seeding and erosion blanket placement; and, • SE-4A final cover construction and site restoration. Only the following contractors who have been successfully prequalified under PQ2017-19 may bid on this work: • QM LP • Dufferin Construction Company • Gateman-Milloy Inc. • VanRooyen Earthmoving Ltd. • Tervita Corporation A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Waterloo Landfill Site, 925 Erb Street West, Waterloo, at the Administration Building (via Gate 1) on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 1:30 pm. A limit of five (5) representatives per contractor will be permitted to attend the pre-bid meeting. A tour of the work area is planned. Personal protective safety equipment is required for all site meetings. Video and/or audio recording will not be permitted at the site meetings. The Regional Municipality of Waterloo will not arrange for any other opportunity to inspect the area of the proposed work. All bid documents are available on the Region of Waterloo’s website at https://bids.regionofwaterloo.ca Bidders Must Create an Account or Log Into Their Account To Register for the Bid Opportunity before they can download the Bid Document and/or Addenda/Addendum. An annual subscription or one time payment to Bids and Tenders is required in order to download the document.
