RFI #PS 06-2022-02 - Construction Management Services for Middle Mile Fiber Optic Network

This Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is being re-issued by The County of Summit, Ohio (“County”) pursuant to section 177.14(d) of the Codified Ordinances of the County of Summit and 2 CFR 200 et seq. of the code of federal regulations for the purposes of announcing and soliciting additional firms that are interested in performing services relating to the oversight and management of construction activities of a fiberoptic network. The network is called the Summit County Public Safety Fiber and Communications Network (“SCPSFCN”), a 125 mile fiber optic ring which will be constructed starting in 2023 with completion planned by the end of 2025. This network will be built to provide a point of connection to the communities listed in APPENDIX A – Community Locations’ Addresses. A graphical representation of these locations is included as APPENDIX B- Community Locations Map. The overall project is managed locally by the MCM Consulting Group Inc. (MCM), the criteria engineer. A contract shall be

awarded to the most qualified firm. To be qualified, proposers should be aware of the requirements of the Summit County Codified Ordinance section 177.14(f) which is the County’s responsible contractor requirements. This RFP was previously released on August 3, 2022 in the exact same form as this RFP and responses were received from several firms. Those firms are not required to submit new responses or to submit additional information but are permitted to if they wish to.
