This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. The purpose of thissynopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center(NIWC) Pacific's intent to issue modification P00001 on a noncompetitive basis to StarfireIndustries LLC (CAGE: 3ECK7) of 2109 S. Oak Street, Suite 100, Champaign, IL, 61820-7460. This requirement is for the following:ITEM 0001-nGen-310-DD Sealed Portable Neutron GeneratorMFG: Starfire Industries LLCQTY: 1 EachThe Government intends to negotiate solely with Starfire Industries, LLC for thismodification under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), due to only one source beingreasonably available to meet the Government's needs. FAR Part 13, Simplified AcquisitionProcedures, applies.
