N--PROJECT #640-15-159 UPGRADE CHILLED WATER SYSTEM BLDGS 100 & 101

Network Contracting Office 21 intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm-fixed price contract for Project 640-15-159, Upgrade Chilled Water System for Buildings 100 & 101. The contractor shall provide all tools, travel, trades, labor, materials, permits, licenses and supervision for complete construction services per specifications and drawings. Place of performance is 3801 Miranda Ave, Palo Alto, California 94304. This construction project will enhance the mechanical utility infrastructure for Buildings 100 & 101. Building 101 is currently served by the same chiller as Building 100. This project will modify existing piping to allow Building 100 & 101 to each be served by their own dedicated chiller, with tie-ins maintained to allow for either chiller to provide redundancy to the other. The contract will be awarded in accordance with the procedures specified in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued as an IFB conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 14 Sealed Bidding. This project is being solicited as a total set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 238220, Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with a small business size standard of $15 million. The magnitude of construction is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about 15 December 2017. In accordance with FAR 5.203, this notice is being published at least fifteen days before issuance of the solicitation.
