Project Overview St. Cloud State University (SCSU) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to furnish individuals to serve as supplemental coaches/assistants for online courses. Requirements The vendor will recruit and provide qualified candidates for courses specified by St. Cloud State University, and supply coaches selected by course instructors of record. The selected coaches will assist SCSU course instructors with support and delivery of courses as directed. Vendors must be able to provide a sufficient list of qualified, trained coaching candidate across a variety of disciplines at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The Vendor will conduct a thorough background check of potential coaches/assistants, including requiring a standard criminal background check having the ability to furnish candidates credentials to SCSU when requested. The vendor will provide an individual point of contact to coordinate the staffing of all required coaches for St. Cloud State University.
This individual will coordinate the assignment of coaches/assistants to meet faculty requirements prior to the start date for classes specified to be supported. The vendor will train their coaches/assistants on SCSU’s learning management system, D2L, as necessary to understand the basic functions of the platform. The vendor must demonstrate their adherence to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Acts as it relates to the use of student data when coaches/assistants are engaging in course support. Vendors will communicate their standards for level of support when engaging in classroom support. This included student to coach/assistant ratios at the graduate and undergraduate levels, time expectations for responding to student requests, and demonstrating their plan for onboarding new coaches/assistants if these standards are different for new coaches/assistants. Vendor will provide a pricing structure for services, including any price differentiation for: • Method of pricing (i.e. per student, per course, or other method) • Undergraduate/Graduate/Post-Graduate or Doctoral courses • Length of course • Method of determining a time period to determine pricing (i.e. what is considered a week or a semester in terms of hours or days) Selection Committee The selection process includes Dan Golombiecki, Associate Vice President of Finance and Administration; Brandon Johnson, Associate Vice President for Academic Operations and Resources; Katherina Pattit, Dean, Herberger Business School; Matt Trombley, MBA Director. This group will evaluate the proposals and make the final decision. Contract Term St Cloud State University to enter into a contract with the successful vendor(s) to be effective for 3 years with an option to renew for two additional one year terms. If the University and the vendor are unable to negotiate and sign a contract by June 30, 2024, then the University reserves the right to seek an alternative vendor(s).
