Additionally, the Library District seeks the development of a logo where the logo and color theme will be used throughout the new website. The purpose of the Library District website is to provide simple and intuitive electronic access to information and services for City and County residents, and tourists. The Library District website will incorporate a responsive user interface that works well regardless of device. Other Library District website features will include pages that will share information including Library District locations, e-material and online resource access, social media access, Library District policies, online calendar of events, statewide database access and more. The website should be photo rich to highlight services and programs. It must be designed per the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 A/AA and tested to confirm accessibility using the Wave Web Accessible Evaluation Tool or other similar tool (“ADA Regulations”). Some website pages may have video integration. Library District catalog integration and the ability to search and index materials is also necessary. During the development process, the Proposer must provide “on-boarding” for the Library District staff to understand the workings of the Library District website. The Library District website must be user-friendly to allow Library District staff members to edit the photos to match upcoming programs and events. At the end of the project, the Library District will own all content and graphics used in the creation of the website and logo. SCOPE OF WORK: The budget for this project is not to exceed $30,000.00. The scope of work entails developing a new website which is responsive to all devices, intuitive and easy to navigate, content rich and visually appealing. Additionally, the website must comply with ADA Regulations and include accessibility features built-in. All migration needed to accomplish data transfer from the current Library District website pages at www.flagstaffpubliclibrary.org, will be the primary responsibility of the selected Proposer. The goal is a more intuitive and flowing presentation of information with rich use of graphics, links, video and copy that engage visitors with constantly changing Library District resources and programs, gives up-to-date information about library services and access, allows for easy meeting room and online calendar integration, social media and Library District catalog integration, and other pertinent Library District information. The Library District has identified other library websites that provide examples of the website design the City seeks: https://library.loudoun.gov/ www.nypl.org/ www.spl.org/ www.mesalibrary.org www.phoenixpubliclibrary.org With these examples of the desired goal, evaluation scoring will fall heavily on experience and capabilities to deliver sophistication and simplicity at the same time. Quality of prior work, budget, management and timeline and suitability will also score highly DETAILED SCOPE AND PURPOSE: The scope of this project, includes, creating a Library District website that replaces the current Library District website (flagstaffpubliclibrary.org) and the creation of a Library District logo.
