Project Description: The applicant has proposed to discharge 2,270 cubic yards of fill into 0.703-acres of palustrine wetlands for the construction of an 825-foot-long 25-foot-wide access road and a 100 by 100-foot housing pad. Fill material will be sourced from dredge tailing stacked approximately 2 ¾ miles east of the subdivision. The eastern edge of the building pad will be 125 feet from the Snake River, maintaining a buffer from the river.
After reviewing the application, the Department may certify there is reasonable assurance the activity, and any discharge that might result, will comply with the CWA, the Alaska Water Quality Standards, and other applicable State laws.
