Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30§ 39M as amended and other applicable statutes. Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM EST on June 22, 2021, at which time they will be publicly opened and read via teleconference (Call in Number: (413) 784-4951, ID# 312372#) in the Office of Procurement. The work includes replacement of the bascule crest gate and two sluice gates at the Watershops Pond Dam and includes sitework associated with maintenance and improvement of the dam. The new gates and new hydraulic power unit are being fabricated by others. The sitework includes but is not limited to site preparation and site demolition; sediment and erosion controls; clearing and grubbing; control of water; earthwork; reinforced concrete; stone masonry repairs; gravity-type retaining wall, paving and surfacing; and misc. site improvements. Project is estimated not to exceed $1.6 Million. An optional Site Visit has been scheduled for 5/19/21 at 9:00 A.M, on-site at Watershops Pond Dam). Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site
